Gâteau et Ganache has grown out of pastry chef/owner Anni Golding's lifelong passion for good food, and particularly beautiful, delicious sweets. An inspired cook from an early age, Anni started baking at age 7, borrowing cookbooks from a local library to make cupcakes and cookies. A fulltime commitment to pastry came later in life, after a successful career in technical writing.
A graduate of the Baking and Pastry Program at the Culinary Institute of America, Anni has supplemented her culinary education with coursework at the Institute of Culinary Arts in New York City, and École Lenôtre and L'École du Grand Chocolat Valrhona in France. After working in restaurants, she chose to focus on a small business of handcrafted pastry and chocolate items — the result is Gâteau et Ganache.
